It is actually a new interpretation of the Conan legends. This movie that was earlier titled as Conan 3D, is a 3D film filled with swords and sorcery ultimately based on the Conan the Barbarian character conceive by the imaginative and creative mind of Robert Ervin Howard. The Plot Summary

The movie reveals the heroic story of Conan the Cimmerian and his quest for revenge for the ruthless warlord and his henchmen, who murdered his father and the culprits for the destruction of their village.

Looking back on the root of the personal vendetta, Colin, a blacksmith and leader of the Cimmerians was brutally killed by Khalar Zym, a coldblooded empire-building commander and his henchmen. He and his equally cruel followers are to be blamed for the demolition of the village where Conan and his father lives.

At first, Conan the Barbarian, only aims to take vengeance to Khalar Zym and his men, On his way in search for them, he meet a lot of enemies and the epic battle begins. He fought with gigantic enemies. He exchange blows with horrendous and monstrous beasts and witches, including Marique; the powerful witch daughter of Khalar Zym. He struggled to win unbearable challenges as he takes the chance for situations that you can only imagine happening in a nightmare.

Conan the Barbarian came to his senses that this battle is not only to put vengeance for the murder of his father. He is also fighting for the safety and protection of the people of Hyboria. He is the only rescuer that people of this great nation can hold on to; with the fervent hope that they will be saved from the heartless governance of unnatural and mystical wickedness.

But like all other epic tales, Conan the Barbarian also has his love interest. Her name is Tamara, a beautiful novitiate who is destined to be the Queen’s bodyguard and best friend. Filled with terrifying and winning adventures, Conan the Barbarian is slated to be released on August 19, 2011.

Apollo 18 is one of the most awaited movies for 2011. Perhaps one of the reasons why many movie enthusiasts are very much enthusiastic in waiting for the showing of the movie is because of the various changes with its release date. Originally slated for release last March 2011, date of showing was moved to April 2011. Before the actual date arrived, it was again changed to January 2012, which was then again changed to August 2011. Finally, the much-anticipated movie is currently scheduled for release on September 2, 2011.

Meet the People Behind the Movie Apollo 18

Apollo 18 is a found-footage movie written by the fresh-writing tandem of Brian Miller and Cory Goodman. During the early plans, the movie would be helmed by Trevor Cawood. However, final plans by producer, Timur Bekmambetov paved the way for giving the helm to Spanish-language director Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego, who previously directed the award-winning film, King of the Hill.

What is the movie all about?

It is a Sci-fi horror-thriller movie that is trying to be in some ways relating itself on real events that happened on the Moon. The tagline “There’s a reason we’ve never gone back to the moon” suggests that something was not relayed to public awareness. The movie evolves with showing the actual reason behind the desistance of NASA to move on with other lunar missions. It tries to imply that there are some happenings that were concealed pertaining to the unrevealed mission to space during the 70s.

Shot in mockumentary-found footage style, one can easily connect to the idea that the movie is an imaginary hypothesis of the real Apollo 18 mission. Launched in December of the year 1974, the alleged mission team so they say, never managed to come back. In consequence to this theory, the plot of the story is to relay the actual reason behind the lack of enthusiasm of the government of the United States to form another team that will travel to the moon.
